Axolotls and aquatic newts are carnivores that need a high-protein diet. Our soft, moist pellets are easy to eat for these amphibians that swallow their food whole. Give your amphibian(s) something delicious and nutritious with Zoo Med’s Axolotl Food!

Feed juveniles once a day and adults every other day. Offer several pellets in the evening when the animals are most active and remove uneaten food within 12 hours. These amphibians stop eating once full, so increase or decrease the number of pellets offered as needed. Drop food on a bare-bottom portion of the tank or use a sinking, ceramic feeding dish. Store in a cool, dry place.
